Course Objectives Etkin Liderlik tanımını oluşturan klasik yaklaşımların yanında, dönüşümcü liderlik ve değere dayalı liderlik gibi güncel yaklaşımlarla liderliği tanıtmak ve  etkin liderlik uygulamalarının duruma, kurumlara ve elbette ki farklı kültüre göre nasıl yeniden yapılandığını ve başarılı sonuçlarını öğrencilere aktarmak.Effective Leadership Practices is an advanced elective designed to provide students exposure to leadership topics that are not covered in detail in your previous courses, along with an opportunity for in depth investigation of several topics determined by the instructor.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to evaluate different definitions of leadership
  • will be able to give information about three constituents of leadership; the specifications of leader, specifications of successors and contingency factors and their interactions with each other
  • will be able to Analyze the theories of leadership which take place in contingency approach
  • will be able to explain essential social psychological elements which are in relation with leadership concept; social impact, power and politics
  • will be able to discuss about the current approaches and theories like charismatic leadership, transformational leadership, destructive leadership which are related with leadership concept.
  • will be able to examine the real world cases according to different leadership approaches
Course Description Bu derste liderlik kavramı ile ilgili temel bilgiler, liderlik kavramını ile ilişkilendirilen temel psikolojik unsurlar ile güncel teoriler açıklanacak ve teorik bilginin perakende sektöründe nasıl uygulanabileceği üzerinde durulacaktır. Derste öğrencilerin liderlik ve ilgili kavramları derinlemesine anlamaları ve kendi liderlik becerilerini geliştirmeleri amaçlanmaktadır.The purpose of this course is to teach students about the various ways to demonstrate leadership effectively. Traditional approaches will be highlighted, as well as more emerging approaches, such as transformational and valuebased leadership. Moreover, leadership will be considered in a global context, including how effective leadership practices and differ across cultures.
